The day after Christmas, there was a local shoot with a photography group that I belong to. Yes, only us crazy ones rather be out running around with our cameras right after the holiday. Meet Kay – a fellow member of the group but was nice enough to be our model that day since our main model was running late. Coming from my background, I have never felt as strongly about model casting/mu/hair and comfort of the model till today. She originally had a thin satin lavender colored halter type dress (mind you most of us had sweaters and jackets on) and her hair was up along with red heels. I honestly wasn’t feeling it. She wasn’t comfortable and it absolutely showed. It wasn’t the right look or hair/mu for her. However, once her time was up and she was back to being all bundled up in her WARM cute outfit, I was all over her. Kay became herself and it showed in all the photos. So, for the time being, I’m going to share a few of my favs of her from that day.
I had a great time shooting with them today. David and Jenn’s chemistry is amazing. They are just so in tune with one other – perfect for each other. Absolutely made my job very easy. Right off the bat, we discovered our very VERY similar engagement rings, love of baking, purple wedding colors/vintage theme, all the way down to wearing the same exact necklace, Jenn was practically mini version of me!
In the end, David and Jenn are just so down to earth and outright good people. It was an honor to shoot for them. This will be part I for now… Enjoy!
